Do you snore? Do you know someone who does? How does that affect you? The loud, obnoxious sound could be robbing you of sleep and your health. Sleep deprivation can higher blood pressure and therefore you will be more susceptible to heart attack or stroke. Getting enough sleep is important to crucial brain functioning just the same as getting enough air, water or food. When exercising (which brings oxygen to the brain) you would be sure to hydrate yourself especially on a hot, summer’s day. And you wouldn’t just stuff your face with junk food such as cookies, cake and candy. You would want good, quality water and food to keep a healthy body. Sleep is needed to rejuvenate the brain and the body.

"One complete night of sleep deprivation is as impairing in stimulating driving tests as a legally intoxicating blood-alcohol level." So, if you are up all night because of snoring or whatever reason and you drive it’s just as bad as drinking and driving or even texting while you drive. The snoring problem should be solved before someone gets hurt or do too much damage to your health.
According to Eve Cauter, PH.D at the American Diabetes Association’s annual meeting in June 2001, she says increase risks of diabetes and high blood pressure due to lack of sleep causes the body to be less sensitive to insulin. So I guess you would need more insulin than what already getting all because you can’t sleep at night due to loud snoring. With a better night’s sleep due to a cure of snoring there would be less chance of diabetes and high blood pressure. The effects of having diabetes and high blood pressure could lead to a heart attack or stroke.
A professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago, Dr. Van Cauter, says that, "Metabolic and endocrine changes resulting from a significant sleep debt mimic many hallmarks of aging. We suspect that chronic sleep loss may not only hasten the onset but could also increase the severity of age-related ailments such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity and memory loss."

She also says, "There is a high percentage of people who suffer from passive sleep deprivation due to a snoring bed partner."
According to Answers.com, "Snoring can interrupt the levels of sleep that your brain achieves while sleeping. Snoring also means that you could have sleep apnea which means that you stop breathing while you sleep several times an hour. This gives your system less oxygen and then morning headaches on top of feeling tired when you wake up. It can make your blood pressure go up, then your risk of heart attack or stroke goes up. If you are snoring or suspect that you have sleep apnea you need to get a sleep test done to evaluate the problem."
